The first time Raskin is started, it will scan your file system to determine which files should initially be displayed and how they should be arranged on the Raskin Surface. This will take a few minutes, but is only done once on the first run.
In order to remove the Raskin Places item from the Finder sidebar, just press and hold the Command (⌘) key, drag the item from the Finder sidebar and release it.
You can remove the Raskin Services menu and keyboard shortcuts in two ways:
Go to System Preferences, choose Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Services > General and uncheck the Raskin Service.
Or: Move Raskin to the Trash and empty the Trash. The Raskin Services menu and keyboard shortcuts will be removed the next time you log in.
